Topps November Product Preview

[00:00:05] Hello and welcome to Talking Cards with Grand Salami and The Jewce. I am your host, The Jewce, and it's just me here today. Today I'm going to be doing a special November Topps card preview. So all the big card releases for the month, all the big pre-sales. I'm just going to be giving you just a little bit of information. I'm not going to be doing a crazy deep dive. A lot of these products you will find across the month. Full episodes forward, we're going to be doing deep dives for sure. But this is just to make sure that you know everything that's available. We do these episodes once a month.

[00:00:34] Usually what you can find is the individual product deep dives, as well as we have on special guests from different companies, breakers, people that have worked with Topps, things like that. Before we get into this episode, I do want to shout out Card Purchaser. So all these products that I'm going to mention, you'll be able to find him tweeting about them as they go live. So make sure you follow him on Twitter or X if you aren't already at Card Purchaser. He always has the latest info on product drops and releases.

[00:01:00] But if you want the quickest updates in real time, there you can find more than just product drops info. You can also get notifications for restocks across all categories of sports and trading cards. November, it is looking like it's going to be a pretty busy month. Right off the bat, we have a few releases and a lot to go on. There's going to be if you want to do some cards for Christmas and stuff, you're going to have plenty to choose from.

[00:01:26] And it all starts with the preorder for Topps Chrome Update Series Baseball. So this is one of the biggest hype releases of the year every year, more recently than previous years. And that is because this is where you can find the rookie debut patch autographs. The checklist has dropped, so you now can see all the players that have rookie debut patches in this. And pretty much anyone that had a rookie card this year, you can find there are a couple of exceptions.

[00:01:54] A couple of notable things. I believe it was either DeLauw or Bazzana. Someone with the Guardians. They were not listed on the checklist, but they do in fact have it. And then I think Peyton Tolley has fell off pregame, so he does not have one. So yeah, those of you, those of you waiting for this, it's going to be November 2nd. That will be at noon. So this episode should be dropping on November 2nd. So you want to be ready for that.

[00:02:22] And yeah, it's going to have a checklist with a ton of different stuff, not just the debut patches, but that will be the chase. And of course, they are all one of one. So pretty impossible chase. If you ask me, there are definitely sticker artists in this. But we'll be doing closer to December a full, full breakdown on this. The other things that you can find is the alter ego superheroes. Those were like the comic book looking ones. Those were super rare SSPs, but they were awesome.

[00:02:51] Major League minis, not as popular as they could be, but you know, something else to look for. And they are debuting glass canvas, which we've seen in basketball and now football. So now they are bringing it to baseball. And I do like the design of that, but that's an SSP that hasn't gone on as much as it maybe could have. So that's the first preorder that's up. And then we are going to have Bowman U signature football at 12 p.m. Central, one o'clock Eastern. And that is exactly what it sounds like. Bowman U is the college product.

[00:03:21] As far as the difference between this and regular Bowman, this isn't going to have the first Bowman cards. This is more like an offshoot. It does look like it is going to be on card autos, which is great. And yeah, this is if you're into college sports, college football, this is definitely a cheaper way to get your hands on it. Or than regular Bowman where you have the NFL players that are helping drive up those prices as well.

[00:03:52] So usually we don't talk about soccer here, but I did think it was noteworthy that tops is going to have black and white for soccer. 2026 tops MLS soccer that is going to be available for preorder November 3rd at 12 o'clock. That's going to be an EQL release. And I do love black and white. I've talked about for baseball how much I love it. So if you like the product, you're a little bit in soccer or you're a whole lot in soccer. That one is a must grab for you. So yeah, a lot of stuff coming this week already.

[00:04:20] We're only into Tuesday right now getting into Wednesday, though. We're going to have some big releases now. And this one I already did the deep dive on it. So if you want to hear my full thoughts, I released an episode last week with Slapsquatch. This is 2026 tops cross tops cosmic chrome baseball. This is going to be available November 4th at 12 o'clock. And yeah, it's going to be pricing. Most likely it's gonna be 500 bucks. That is per box. This is a hobby release only.

[00:04:48] And even if you're not into the product, you might want to just try to get it because it is going to resell for at least twice that I would assume with such a loaded rookie class. The design is different this year as far as it's got like some like geometric vector looks to it. They have autos again. Of course, the autos are still tough to find. I think that Slapsquatch said that they were in like one every three or four boxes or so. I don't have the exact numbers. They do have some new inserts.

[00:05:17] The Mars attacks cosmic dust. They have planetary pursuits are back in this. So that is always a big chase to be able to get all. Well, I guess it's 10, nine planets plus the sun. So that returns. My big thing for this though is don't do this for the autos. Yes, the autos can be fantastic in this. These are some of the best autos that you can hit. But this one is really about the rare parallels and the SSPs.

[00:05:45] That's what you should really be hunting in this product because in the past we found that yes, when you hit an auto, it was usually a really solid player. But this year, the autos are just as rare. But the player checklist is not as good overall. They really load up the checklist with a lot more players this time of players that you won't really care about. Yes, we still have a lot of the big players, the big rookies, the big vets, the big names. We even have some legends in there. Now we have Griffey Jr.

[00:06:15] But it's really been watered down even with those guys still being in there with a lot less desirable rookies and vets that you wouldn't really be hunting. So if you are joining breaks for this, I would try to pay more attention to the SSP checklist and the base checklist than necessarily auto checklist. You can still hit those banger autos, but that would not be the chase for this, at least in my opinion. We have Heritage Football Megabox is coming November 4th, so not really a big deal.

[00:06:44] That's a retail product and Heritage is hard enough to hit. But a big release is 2026 Topps Mint Disney. That's coming November 4th as well at 2 o'clock Eastern. And this is going to be a pricey set. You are going to find not just cartoons, but you're going to find TV shows, movies. You're going to find Pixar stuff. And yeah, this is going to be a pricey one. You can find autos in here. I'm looking at Hannah Montana, so Miley Cyrus auto. What else do we have? It's a tiered set.

[00:07:15] You have chrome variations. You have sketch cards, which I always like. Sketch cards are always cool. They do have, I think for their relics, they have a comic cut. It's an old school Mickey or Donald comic. They have a cut of that into the card, which is cool. I haven't really seen those really selling for much in the past. I think that PC wise are really cool ones to have, but you don't really get much resale. But yeah, these will definitely be selling for a premium.

[00:07:44] These are going to be tough to get ahold of and it's going to be even tougher to be able to rip. Yeah. So I would definitely keep that in mind if you're a Disney fan, but it should be an easy flip if you're someone that's looking to do that. These next two coming out next week, we will be doing deep dives on for sure. First one is 2627 tops flagship basketball. This is coming out November 5th at 12 o'clock.

[00:08:10] So that will be Thursday and that's 12 o'clock Eastern time. And it's exactly what it sounds like it's flagship basketball for the year. It's coming a little later than the season started. I wish it came before the season. As far as the design goes, we are still seeing the 2026 tops design on this. So you got like the, the kind of ribbon on the side, you got the team logo and the name on the bottom. So not a bad design at all.

[00:08:36] I would say we're going to have to wait till 2027 to start seeing the, I'm assuming that top series one baseball will be the first one to have it. And it should be a fun rip. You're going to have hobby. You're going to have jumbo. These were already out for pre-order and they sat for a little bit. It wasn't, it definitely was not impossible to get. So if you are looking to get this, if it's anything like the pre-order, you should be able to get some on November 5th. It is flagship. So they are going to print a ton, which is going to help you to be able to get some.

[00:09:05] You're going to have some retail as well for this, but the jumbos are going to be the ones to sell out first. So if you want the only format with a guaranteed auto, that's going to be the one to jump on. That's going to be the one to look for on the website. They're showing, of course, you're going to have a number of variations, team variations, golden mirror are going to be in here, wood, and they're going to have clear variations. I'm going to assume those are out of 10. Those are the acetate cards.

[00:09:28] But yeah, if you want to hear all about that product before it comes out next Thursday, just listen for the deep dive episode that I'm going to be doing with Burt. That's where you're going to be able to get all that info. We're going to give you the full break on the checklist, the new rookies that you can look out for as well. So a loaded week ends with 2026 tops inception football.

[00:09:49] This comes out on November 6 at noon Eastern, and it has it's showing that it has sticker autos, which I don't love. Inception would usually include sticker autos on the relics, which I was okay with because that's what you usually see and then on card for the others. It does include on card autos as well, but it's showing some base with the sticker autos. So if you're new to inception, this is usually a single pack and it is thicker stock cards.

[00:10:20] And it usually includes one auto, one relic auto, I believe, and then some base along with a guaranteed parallel per box. Usually this is more like a breaking product in my opinion. I wouldn't really open this myself, especially just one box. It's tough to hit. Once I do that deep dive in the checklist, I'll have more info for you on that. But I'm assuming that it's going to be just like baseball where it's definitely not a high end product, even though it has the multiple autos guaranteed.

[00:10:50] It's more of that just above low tier flagship stuff. I put it in the mid tier category, tier one, things like that. Some people love the design on this. It's got that splint splint paint splatter design. And some of the cards do look fantastic. Some of the relics can be really cool. They aren't necessarily game use. So if you are someone that only is into game use relics, definitely check that out. I'm trying to zoom in on this one info.

[00:11:18] So, yeah, they showed a preview for Carson Beck card and it says top certified autograph. Of course, player worn memorabilia. So that is not game used. There's no guarantee it was in the game. He could have just use it in an event and warning. He could just warn it and then just taking it off. Who knows? But they do have silver signings, which is great. Usually those are a case hit. So those are definitely cool cards as well. And then as far as SSPs go, this is not really an SSP product.

[00:11:45] So if you're someone who's really into those and the not auto hits, this is not the product for you. This one is all about the autos. All right. So that is just the first week of November. And then we have some pre-order starting the next week. It starts off with November 9th. We have top stadium club football. That is a pre-order. And if you know me, you know, I love stadium club. I was so disappointed in this past year because there was no real stadium club chrome except for the rare autos for baseball.

[00:12:14] It does not look like football is going to have any chrome variants either. That there's no mention of them and their product page and the cards themselves. The logo doesn't show chrome. So I'm assuming this is an all paper product, which is okay. You know, if, but I would really hope that they would maybe do a chrome release on its own. And the photography, that's what this is all about. We had Suzan a couple of weeks ago.

[00:12:43] She actually handpicked the cards for baseball a few years back for the photography. So that was pretty cool. But yeah, football. I'm really hoping we see some really awesome picture pictures. Pictures. I'm not really impressed by the pictures that they're showing right now on the product review. They don't really look that unique. They're action shots. Hopefully we see some cooler pictures, you know, as we get closer to release. This is just a preorder.

[00:13:09] So if you want to skip it until you know for sure that the products going to just be more impressive, then I get it. You'll get a mix of rookies, vets and legends for sure. And yeah, they are announcing that there are some SSPs, uh, beam team people like. Some people love it, but it's not anything that is the highest selling one. I think that it should go for a little more than it does, but it's my opinion. But yeah, it's all focused on the photography.

[00:13:38] I wish that this design, I mentioned with baseball, they had the player name and kind of like framed off on the bottom. I wish that was a little less detail. I wish it was a little more minimal, but that's nitpicking. And yeah, this is what I'm sure we're going to be doing a whole deep dive on, but that won't be before the preorder. So if this is something, you know, you want to get before you even hear about it, definitely check out that. Be ready for the preorder November 9th.

[00:14:03] Topps hoop basketball, 2026 to 2027 preorder November 10th. They're really not giving any details on this. And a lot of people, when, uh, tops did their tops hoops last year, they were really confused. This is thought of they remembered hoops with panini hoops is not a panini brand though. It's an NBA brand. So I guess wherever NBA let their license to, then that's where hoops followed. So if you're a big hoops fan, I would put this right there with flagship as far as tier level.

[00:14:32] So it's like the low tier product. You can find, you can find it in stores. No problem. I probably put it just below flagship. Actually just for resellability, people would rather have an equal car to flagship over hoops typically, but hoops is it's a fun product. It's a fun rip that there's a lot of cards to go through. Uh, but yeah, that is I'm seeing conflicting things. Yeah, definitely preorder November 10th, November 11th. We have one of my favorites. This is not a preorder.

[00:15:01] This is just a straight up purchase. There was no preorder for this. 2026 tops Allen Ginter X baseball. We talked about in our Allen Ginter preview, how this will be coming out because they do it every year. So that is going to be next week. If you're not familiar with this, unlike regular Allen Ginter, this guarantees an auto. Typically it's going to be a framed auto and usually it's going to be signed in like silver or gold ink too. Not only that, but even though they just guarantee an auto, you usually get two autos every three boxes.

[00:15:31] We'll have to see the odds and let's actually see it ripped in order to know. Unfortunately, you won't know that until it's sold out. But usually for me, especially if you want to rip this, this is a no brainer. The resell on this is not ever anything too crazy. You can't make a little bit. But if you're someone that likes Allen Ginter, but you just feel like it's such a rough rip, then this is the one for you. It pretty much takes the Allen Ginter card and gives them an all black base finish. So instead of the classic paper white, you are going to have all black.

[00:16:00] And I think the cards look fantastic. The singles even collecting sets for this can be fun as well. You're not really, I don't know if you see any relics out of this and it does have a shortened checklist too. But yeah, if you were waiting on Allen Ginter because you wanted this be ready, this is November 11th. And this never really sells out immediately or it's even if it does, it's not an impossible buy. You should be able to get this if you want it. Just make sure you're ready November 11th next Monday.

[00:16:28] They should be giving on tops. They should be giving the time and the pricing on that. I'd expect a couple hundred for it. But yeah, this is a really fun rip. I'd really recommend it if you're anyone that's ever like kind of on the fence about Allen Ginter. This would be the one to go go for. And releasing that day as well is 2026 Thompson Museum collection baseball. This used to be a favorite product of mine. I used to really love it.

[00:16:54] Probably because it was one of the first things when I started collecting one of the first higher tier products I saw. Definitely not high tier though. I'd call it more mid tier this one. In the past it was four boxes in a box and then each box had a pack and each pack had a relic or an auto. So you're guaranteed two relics and two autos. Now they just do a single box, which I don't like. And you're going to still get your relics and autos.

[00:17:17] Usually it is a on card auto, a relic auto with a sticker auto, and then two relics. Typically the relic auto is a sticker, but there are definitely some that are on card. Some of the cards could look great. And these are usually not game used relics. These are usually just player worn, but some of them look really fantastic. I don't like the look as much this year.

[00:17:46] We will be doing once again a full deep dive on this one for sure. But yeah, the look doesn't. It's missing some of those museum collection vibes for me. It looks like they try to modernize it a little more than they should. I like that classic look a little bit, but they are going to be big names in here for sure. Right off the bat, they're showing Derek Jeter. Yeah, you're going to see some great legends and vets in there. Of course, you're going to find your rookies. These cards, the singles don't really sell for as much as they would in other products.

[00:18:13] In my experience, I'm kind of like the tier one level. I would say that there's definitely some cool things in here. The cards can look really fantastic, but typically I wouldn't really recommend this product. But once I do the deep dive, I'll have more info for you for sure. And then the base cards are really nothing special to be had. Yeah, even the lower numbered base stuff doesn't really sell for anything crazy. These are thicker card stock even for the base. So they don't usually grade well either.

[00:18:41] Just a few things that you should definitely be aware of before going into this. And then even one of my what I always think should be the best looking cards, the Atelier, Autograph books. Never look as great as they should. It's such a missed opportunity every year, but you'll find cut autos in this too. A bunch of other really cool stuff. Another one that flies under the radar a bit every year, November 13th, they're gonna have a pre-order for 2026.

[00:19:12] 2026 Tops T205 Baseball. So this has the classic mini cards, the tobacco size cards, and you can find some really cool stuff in here. The cards usually look great, but because they are those smaller cards and they really sell for well. I believe in the past it was one auto in every four boxes. So autos are possible. I don't know how much these are gonna be. They might be anywhere between 50 to 100 a box, I'd assume. But it's just a pre-order November 13th. So we got a couple weeks before that.

[00:19:41] Maybe we'll do a deep dive on this. We'll see what the buzz is on it. Right away, they're showing off Otani autos and I'm assuming these are all gonna be on card. And they are showing a King Graffiti card. That looks really cool. So again, this could be a really fun one. You're not really gonna make money on it, but it could be a cheaper fun rip for sure. November 13th, we have 2026 Tops Midnight Football. So this kind of is in the same vein of Inception. I'm kind of surprised that they're doing these back to back just because they feel like similar cards.

[00:20:13] Yeah, it's all a darker card. It's got like a time element on some of them, like a clock around Jalen Hurts. I'm seeing that one of the cards. They have dual player cards. They don't look terrible. They just don't look anything special, like dark purpley. They have relic autos. The regular autos, non-relic autos look to be on card. The relic autos look to be some stickers, some on card. They are dual relics. Yeah, I imagine that we're gonna do a deep dive on this so we can get into the full checklist.

[00:20:41] It mentioned some SPs, but from what I'm seeing, I'm not too impressed by them. Twilight Returns, Night Night and Celestial Roots. So yeah, we'll see. Hopefully we can get some early looks at those and be able to judge that. But yeah, I'd probably have this over inception. I would assume I would take this over inception, but they're just such similar releases. I'm surprised that they're back to back like that.

[00:21:12] One of my favorite, I think I've been saying that a lot through this episode, November 18th, we're going to see 2026 Topps Pro Debut Baseball. And this is where you can find all the players in their debut uniforms for professional baseball, not for the MLB. I mentioned this, I think in the pre-release as well. I gave people a heads up to get these. So you're going to find them in their minor league uniforms. And some of them will say Pro Debut for the first year in the product. Some won't.

[00:21:42] And you can find some big names in here, some big prospects for sure. You can even find some current players as well. But yeah, it's such a fun rip. You can hit, I believe it's three autos per box and it's so much cheaper compared to other rips. So if you're just looking for a pure fun rip, yes, you can make money. You can actually, it's surprising how much these cards can go for sometimes. But yeah, this is just a lot of fun. If you can get your hands on this, I definitely recommend it to you.

[00:22:08] If you are just looking for the pure fun joint of ripping, this is the product for it for sure. And if you like prospects even better, they do have Chrome cards in here as well, which they introduced. So the Chrome, they have Chrome autos. They have triple autos, double autos. They have a lot of different fun things that you can look for. They have relics, a lot of stuff in here.

[00:22:34] And the last release is of the month, at least that they're showing right now. November 25th is 2026 tops Gilded collection baseball. So I love Gilded. I think that is one of the most fun products. The price has skyrocketed since they first premiered a few years ago. And the cards this year, it's so hard to tell from the mock-up, but they don't look that great.

[00:23:00] I don't know what this patterning is on it, but I am really not a fan. I feel like it looks a little too busy on the card, but I'm sure the cards overall, as usual, these to me are some of the coolest looking cards you can find. So if you're not familiar with this, it comes with two packs and it's a high tier product, I would say, because it's just going to give you two autos. So yeah, it's not as costly as something like five star or something like that.

[00:23:28] Although the boxes might hit that level, but, or it's not as costly as dynasty dynasty of course one auto, but that's ultra. So this is just two autos. The first pack is going to have one framed auto and that's it. And everything on card, framed auto is pretty nice. Usually it's a lot of veterans and hall of famers in that you can find some rookies for sure. And then the regular pack, it usually has a few all numbered cards and then one base. Well, not one base, one auto.

[00:23:58] And that is usually the money auto. That's where you can find the nicest looking rookies. So it takes the regular tops chrome design and it gives it like a goal treatment. And you can find different color parallels all the way down to super factors, even though it's like red, it's like a red gold. And the cards usually just look so fantastic. Everything being on card is, is another great piece of it.

[00:24:24] And yeah, it's, it's definitely a fun one, but it is tough. It is tough to get one box of this because it is really, it's so hit or miss on it. Yeah. If you have a way to find some cheap breaks in it, that's probably the way to go about this one. These are going to sell out super fast. This might be impossible to get. If you can, I would flip it. That there's no way I can open this because yeah, the amount that you have to buy it for. And then the amount that it flips for you'll be able to make decent money for sure.

[00:24:53] But the amount that you're paying for a box, it's, it's really not worth it to just rip it yourself as much as I like these cards. You just can't, at least in my opinion. Well, that does it for our November preview. Just a short, sweet little episode, just to make sure that you're ready for the month and everything that it has to offer. We'll be doing deep dives on a ton of these products though. So if you just want little tidbits here and there and know what's going on, great.
